From the outset, the moderators, David Muir and Linsey Davis, seemed to take on roles more akin to adversaries than neutral facilitators as they fact-checked Donald Trump in real-time, a move criticized by the co-chair of the Commission on Presidential Debates as “bending over backwards” to help Kamala Harris.
